With less than a day away from JavaOne I went to a small warm up party that the Netherlands JUG 
threw at the Carnelian room. Met many new intresting people, saw old acquaintances, Aaron Houston, the JUG coordinator from Sun, Stephan Jansen, the man behind javoxx (former JavaPolis) and bejug (the Belgian JUG),Kirk Peperdine, and Klaasjan Tukker, JUG leader of the Netherlands JUG.
Many topics discussed over a few beers, glassfish, restful web services, Java on Mac, SunSpots and many more. Surely JavaOne has started nicely and it seems it will be a huge success if you take into account that Sun put a lot of effort on it
(yes it’s an ad on a bus stop).
